Dear seniors,
At the end of last May (26.5.2024) our bishop Raimo came to Tampere to appoint me as the vicar of the Holy Cross parish for another five years. This has given me more time to serve the parish. I would like to thank you for your prayers for me in this challenging position. I always pray for you too!
As autumn begins, our parish will be hosting various pastoral activities,
circles and clubs, including SENIOR FAIRS.
I would like to invite you to the senior fair, which will be held at the Holy Cross Church on the following dates:

Please note that the fairs are generally held on the last Tuesday of the month.
After the fair, we will have a gathering and a moment of togetherness in the parish hall.
One of us will take turns preparing something to drink and eat for us.
While chatting at the coffee table, I will give you a small and short presentation on famous figures in the Bible. In recent years, we have already started with the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and now the series extends to other famous figures in the Bible. Other possible topics are the Pope’s encyclicals and the last phase of the past Synod of Bishops (on synodality).
It is important that older people remain mentally and physically active and socially active.
So welcome to celebrate senior mass and meet familiar people!
