Catholic Religion Classes in Hämeenlinna
Dear parents,
our Parish organizes the Catholic religion classes for school-aged children who live in Hämeenlinna and the surroundings.
We shall meet in the Parish Hall of the Orthodox Church
The address: Matti Alangon katu 11 A, 13130 Hämeenlinna
Time: at 13.00 – 15.00
Here are the dates of the Autumn 2022 and of the Spring 2023 -season for religious classes:

The teachers are the Ursuline sisters, who come from Helsinki (Sr Barbara Ogieniewska USJK, +358409644529). The parents are allowed to be present during the teaching.
The children will bring with them notebooks and writing instruments for the religion classes. Books will be provided by the teacher. Please, take also slippers for your child.
Dear parents, I sincerely hope, that you would bring your children for the religion classes and explain to them how important is to learn about Jesus Christ and our Catholic Faith. The instruction prepares your children for receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. The Catechism classes help you to strengthen in your children Catholic identity and self-confidence so much needed in the environment where your children are living daily. Please notice that Holy Masses are celebrated in Hämeenlinna, on the first Sunday of the month, that’s on the same day as the teaching day, in the Orthodox church at Erottajakatu 2. I would like to emphasize that there is nothing more important in the process of growing in the Catholic Faith than child's regular and pious participation in the Holy Mass together with his/her parents.
The expenses of the Catechism classes are largely covered by the parish. I only ask You, dear parents, if you can, to participate in those expenses by giving to the teacher 5 euros any time you bring your child for the Catechism classes. Thanks for the donation!
